Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 2026
Welcome to Worldwide Reptile Logistics. By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below. These policies are designed to protect you, your animals, and the integrity of the export process. We believe in being transparent, honest, and straightforward, and we want you to know exactly what to expect when working with us.
General Service Agreement
Worldwide Reptile Logistics (WRL) provides export coordination and logistics services for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. We act as an export agent on your behalf. We do not own the animals being exported unless specifically stated.
By sending animals to us or booking an export, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Customer Responsibility for Legal Compliance
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the species being exported or imported are legal in their country, state, or region. We will help guide you based on our experience, but we cannot provide legal advice regarding your country’s import laws.
If an animal is purchased that cannot legally be exported or imported, WRL is not responsible for refunds, losses, or disputes between buyers and sellers.
Species Identification Requirements
All species must be accurately identified to species or subspecies by the breeder, seller, or pet owner before being sent to us. Animals must not be mislabeled, misidentified, or intentionally described as a different species or subspecies in an attempt to export something that is restricted, prohibited, or requires special permits.
If WRL determines that a species is incorrectly identified upon receipt, we may:
• refuse to ship the animal(s),
• hold the animal until the issue is resolved, or
• cancel the export entirely.
If the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) contests the identification of a species or subspecies during inspection, they may detain or seize the animal(s) in question. We will fully cooperate with USFWS and provide any information they request. In some cases, USFWS may require additional details from the breeder, and it is expected that the breeder will provide accurate information to us promptly so we can respond to their inquiries.
WRL is not responsible for any delays, legal issues, fines, confiscations, or financial losses caused by misidentified or mislabeled species.
Species Eligibility and Permits
Some species require special permits (CITES, ESA, state permits). Some species cannot be exported at all. We will confirm eligibility before scheduling an export.
Shipments containing CITES species may require additional time for permit processing. We cannot begin preparing CITES paperwork until all required information is provided and CITES permit preparation fee is paid.
Payment Terms
All payments must be made in full before the export date. This allows us to book airline freight, schedule inspections, and prepare documents.
Accepted payment methods:
• U.S. based customers: Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, credit card, PayPal, wire transfer
• International customers: wire transfer, Zelle, Venmo
Fees and Additional Charges
Export fees vary based on:
• number of animals
• box size and quantity
• required documentation
• airline freight charges
• special handling or boarding needs
Any customs fees, taxes, duties, or import charges at the destination airport are the responsibility of the receiver.
Animal Health and Condition
Animals must arrive healthy and properly packaged. If an animal arrives sick, injured, or unfit for export, we will contact the owner immediately to discuss next steps.
WRL is not responsible for:
• pre existing health issues
• injuries that occur before animals arrive to us
• animals that arrive in poor condition due to improper packing by the sender
Interim Care
We provide short term care (one week or less) to ensure animals are ready for travel. This includes:
• inspecting animals upon arrival
• cleaning containers
• misting geckos and small lizards
• soaking snakes for hydration
Reptiles are not fed before export, as they travel more safely on an empty stomach.
Extended boarding may be available for an additional fee and must be arranged in advance.
Packaging and Temperature Management
We use insulated export grade boxes and appropriate temperature control packs. Packing methods vary based on weather conditions and airline requirements.
If animals arrive in unsafe or unsuitable containers, we will repackage them to ensure their safety. Additional fees may apply.
All export packaging materials (boxes, heat packs, cryopacks, etc.) are included in the export fee.
Flight Delays, Cancellations and Routing Changes
Airline cargo is generally reliable, but delays can occur. If a delay or cancellation happens, we will work with the airline to determine the best option. Depending on the situation, we may:
• pick up the shipment and send it another day, or
• allow the airline to move it to the next available flight.
Reptiles are hardy animals and typically tolerate minor delays well when kept at safe temperatures.
WRL is not responsible for airline decisions, routing changes, or delays outside our control.
Liability Limitations
We take every precaution to ensure safe transport, but we cannot guarantee the health or survival of animals during airline transport.
WRL is not liable for:
• airline delays or cancellations
• customs delays or seizures
• weather related issues
• mis-declared or misidentified species
• incorrect information provided by the buyer or seller
• losses caused by improper care before animals arrive to us
Injury or Stress Caused by Airline or Third-Party Handling
Once a shipment is handed over to the airline, it is under the care and control of the airline and its cargo handling staff. While airlines generally handle live animal cargo carefully, occasional rough handling or unexpected movement can occur. This may result in stress related behaviors or injuries, such as tail drops in certain lizard species.
WRL is not responsible for any injuries, stress responses, or losses that occur due to airline handling, cargo movement, or any actions outside of our direct control once the shipment has been accepted by the airline.
WRL is not responsible for any injuries, stress responses, or losses that occur due to third party handling or actions. “Third party” refers to, but is not limited to, import agents, couriers, or other delivery services.
Cancellations and Refunds
Once an export date is scheduled and preparations have begun, certain fees may be non refundable (permit fees, health certificate preparation, etc.). Refunds, if applicable, will be handled on a case by case basis.
WRL will do its best to reschedule shipments if necessary and will apply payments (if feasible) to future export services.
Customer Communication
Customers must provide accurate contact information and respond promptly to messages regarding their shipment. Failure to provide required information may delay or prevent export.
If Something Goes Wrong
We prepare every shipment carefully to prevent issues before they happen. If something unexpected occurs, we will do everything in our power to help and make sure the animals arrive safely at their new home. Your animals’ safety is always our top priority.
Agreement to These Terms
